Meet Rob

Meet Rob – “I really appreciate the positivity here”

When Rob first walked through the doors of Soul Hub in 2021, he was carrying the weight of a broken heart. After a painful relationship breakdown, he was searching for a safe place to heal—somewhere he could quietly rebuild and surround himself with positive people.

He found that place at Soul.

At first, Rob just needed space. “I felt vulnerable and damaged,” he shared. “I just wanted to be left alone to heal.” But over time, the warmth of Soul’s community drew him in. He began coming for breakfast and lunch, joining conversations, making new friends, and quietly becoming part of the daily rhythm at Soul.

What really helped Rob find his footing again was music.

Every Monday afternoon, he joins a group of fellow Guests who gather at Soul to play music. Rob plays the bass. It gives him a sense of focus and calm—an escape from life’s challenges and a way to express himself without words. “Music brings me peace,” he says.

These days, Rob speaks with gratitude about Soul: “It’s given me a chance to rest, recover, and feel part of something. I really appreciate the positivity here.”

When you support Sleepout For Soul, you’re helping create a safe place where people like Rob can find healing, hope, and community.
