We began welcoming guests in our new home 7 weeks ago now and it has been a whirlwind of increased capacity and community engagement.

Over lunch on Wednesday 7^th February, we simultaneously:

• Served 131 meals
• Provided 55 hampers
• On site helping guests in our Convergence of Help we had:
  • Service NSW
  • Ben the Barber
  • Seniors Rights
  • a doctor
  • the vaccination nurse
  • Smart Recovery
  • Gambler’s Anonymous.
• We hosted the Newcastle Herald for an Official Opening story and photo shoot.
• And we did it with help of 28 volunteers actively serving guests

There is no way we could have done that for vulnerable people in our old building. Our new space represents a wonderful increase in capacity.
