Anthony’s Guest Story – “the highlight of my week”

Anthony has been visiting the Soul Hub with his support person Sarah for the last few months. Anthony was in an accident when younger, which left him in a wheelchair. Anthony enjoys coming to the Soul Hub for some extra company and the delicious meals. Anthony lives alone and finds it difficult to make and cut up food, so is very grateful for “this wonderful place” and to all the volunteers for looking after him.

Anthony also makes use of the Soul Open Pantry Service. Anthony feels very welcome at Soul and his disability is not a barrier both in terms of the physical layout of the building and more importantly in terms of judgements made by others.

He describes visiting Soul Hub as “the highlight of my week”
